About Me

Hi! My name is Brooke Montgomery, and I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Louisiana State University in May 2021. After LSU, I was Lab Manager for Dr. Julie Markant's Learning & Brain Development Lab at Tulane University. I am now pursuing my Ph.D. in Psychological Science with a focus in Brain, Cognition, and Developmental Science at Tulane!

At LSU, I was a Research Assistant in Dr. Emily Elliott's Elliott Attention Recall and Sounds Lab, Dr. Heather Lucas' Brain and Memory Lab, and Dr. Jason Hick's Lab. This range of experiences within cognitive neuroscience lead me to my post-baccalaureate research with Dr. Julie Markant. As Lab Manager for the LBD Lab, my research centered on the development of attention biases throughout infancy.

My work in the LBD Lab currently focuses on how attention and reward interact and how this may change across development.
